Parking - Trailhead

If you have a strong 4-wheel drive vehicle, you can take NF-100 all the way to the high meadow just below Pedernal, leaving a fairly short hike up to the base rocks of Pedernal. We had a Ford Escort 4-wheel drive and it was a challenge just getting to where we parked (N36 09.187 W106 30.545). From this location, you still have quite a bit of NF-100 to hike before getting to the meadow.
